About PTING
PTING is a treatment with a Korean-made device that delivers 2.45GHz microwave energy beneath the skin, down to the dermis and the fat layer. Just as a microwave oven warms the water inside food, it makes the water in the skin vibrate and creates heat from within, while the surface touched by the handpiece is cooled to 1°C or 5°C to protect the skin. It is made by Mediart Korea and was launched in December 2023; Dr. NewCell uses it to care for a soft jawline, a double chin and the firmness of a blurred face outline.
How it works
Radiofrequency warms the skin across a surface and ultrasound focuses heat on a deep point; microwave energy makes the water in the skin itself vibrate and creates heat from within. PTING is designed to keep the surface cool while sending heat below the dermis toward the fat layer.
The handpiece contact surface is cooled to 1°C or 5°C to reduce the hot feeling and irritation on the skin surface.
The manufacturer states its design goal as helping the fibroblasts that make collagen respond to the heat.
Reaching down toward the fat layer is what sets it apart most from radiofrequency and ultrasound. We consider it when thickness — a soft jawline or a double chin — is the concern.
3-Step Cooling
While microwave energy creates heat, the surface touched by the handpiece is cooled at the same time. The doctor changes the step according to the area and how it feels.

Process
Even with the same double chin, the right approach depends on whether there is more fat, the skin has loosened or the jaw bone is small. That is why a doctor handles everything from consultation to the follow-up.
Seated, we check what causes the soft jawline or double chin and confirm metal implants, implanted electronic devices and pregnancy. No sales counselors.
The wide jawline and double chin get the Large handpiece, the chin tip and mouth corners the Small; cooling step and energy are set.
Usually done without numbing. If it feels hot, the cooling step and energy are adjusted right away.
We finish with calming care and plan the next session in 3–4 weeks and any treatments to combine.
10 minutes
A face session takes about 10 minutes (manufacturer guidance), and you can wash and wear makeup the same day. We are open until 9 pm on Mondays and Fridays and until 5 pm on Saturdays.
After PTING
Mild redness and warmth may appear and usually settle within a few hours. You can wash and wear makeup right away.
